I got to spend the last weekend at one of my favorite locations in the south. The weather was perfect and it was a blessing to be able to unplug a little and enjoy a weekend away with my future husband. Our wedding is quickly approaching and the wedding stress is in full swing. We got to sneak up to the Montage at Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina after a friends wedding. It was the perfect escape. We arrived at the most beautiful southern inspired cottage and it made all my future home dreams come alive. I added a couple architectural ideas to our future home build file after just walking around the beautiful 20,000 acre property. We also took our engagement photos while we were there and you are going to just die at the little chapel we took them in, all the wedding dreams!
I packed up a few of my favorite summer to fall transitional dresses I had just picked up at my favorite, Nordstrom. I can always count on the Nordstrom casual dress department for a couple last minute pieces to snag before I head out on a weekend adventure.
When we arrived after a short 3 hour road trip just over the border of Georgia into South Carolina and right on to the property of Palmetto Bluff I was wearing this super casual olive green dress. This dress will be so great to transition into fall with darker accessories and a blazer or jean jacket over it. I love dresses that you can wear both now and later, it was perfect for this day. Super casual for the drive and for our breezy walk to lunch.
After lunch we got to check into our adorable cottage and after a little power nap it was time to unwind with our favorite bottle of Rose. We packed our favorite picnic basket because we knew it would be fun to snag a bottle of Rose’ and some cheese and meat at the local market and sit outside on the May River. I tossed on this darling white shirt dress to compliment our picnic and we had a romantic evening watching the sunset.
For lunch the next day I tossed on this darling wrap toile printed blue and white dress. We walked all around the Palmetto Bluff Village and down to the dock of the May River. It was the perfect day dress for walking the village. The same wrap style dress also comes in this beautiful garden print that I might also snag up.
After lunch we decided to do a fun bike ride. I finally got to toss on this adorable denim jumpsuit I have had saved in my closet. They are now on sale, SCORE! If you have a fun adventure planned you need them. I can’t wait to wear it again this fall with a silk button down shirt under them like this Equipment one.
