Travel | Hotel Yountville

When you’re a native of a big city, you never get to enjoy the beauty of a small town. As you first arrive to Yountville, CA the town delivers everything you want. From the steady flow of locals and visitors walking down Main Street, to the busy storefronts offering their own unique styles. The worries and chaos of the world seemed to skip over them, giving it the feel of a true vacation.

We checked into Hotel Yountville around 4pm, after a short tour of the property. The walkways outside of the hotel were covered in multicolored leaves from the start of winter. The mountains in the background added to the already picture perfect setting. We were lucky enough to get a room on the 2nd floor with a small creek running through the back of the property.

As we first walked into our room at Hotel Yountville, your attention went straight to the detail and layout of the room. In the right corner was a fireplace powered by gas, in the left corner was a couch and some love seats. The king sized bed was lifted and surrounded by canopy curtains, adding a romantic feel. The bathroom included a steam shower, jacuzzi hot tub, double vanity, private toilet and a mirror that went from wall to wall. Hotel Yountville has gone above and beyond to set their hotel room apart from others.

The activities varied around the city including a golf course, wine tasting rooms, abundant of restaurants, indoor local shopping mall, trails, museum, hot air balloon rides and vineyards. We were able to enjoy a hot air balloon ride with Napa Valley ALOFT at sunrise, their launch pad is walking distance from Hotel Yountville. We toured the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville, a 7 minute walk from the hotel and perfect break in the daily wine tasting. The France is a Feast: The Photographic Journey of Paul and Julia Child exhibition is a must see! Our favorite meal hands down was at Lucy inside the sister property Bardessono, to Hotel Yountville. Be sure to visit the restroom, you will thank me later!  Our two favorite wine tasting rooms on Main St. walking distance from Hotel Yountville were Silver Trident with Ralph Lauren Home and the bubbles at JCB Tasting Salon.
