Jax Fashion Week | Formal Review

Final Review of Jacksonville Fashion Week:
When I first heard the words, Jacksonville Fashion Week, I wasn’t sure what to think.  When I  arrived on Thursday, March 29th at Metropolitan Park, downtown Jacksonville, Florida, I was swooned. Every thought I had was erased and made new. I was greeted with a warm welcome from a professional JFW escort, into a red carpet photo-op, onto a beautifully styled event that took my breathe away.
Thursday nights event was the Emerging Designer Showcase & Featured Designers Runway Event featuring three up and coming designers. E. Marie Lisa, Kaminski Swimwear, and Janie G. Couture were the 3 designers that had pieces wall onto the amazing runway catwalk that swooned the crowd.
“These were the Emerging Designers?” I said to my fellow gal pal Sharon. “I can not wait to see the featured designers tomorrow if this is just the emerging.” Sharon giggled back at me and responded with, “you just wait!” Every day went like this; It was surprise after surprise every night!
Friday night, March 30th arrived and here I was sitting in my, press section, assigned seat at Jacksonville Fashion Week just holding my breath for the featured designers to strut their pieces. The lights dimmed, the music turned up, and the MC went to work. Next, each designer walked their masterpieces.
The featured designers: Brittany Blair, Lile Useche, Caroline Long, Bobby K, by SMITH, and Timo Weiland were magical. I almost don’t remember breathing because after every look that walked out I cheered, clapped, screamed, and shouted: “I want that now,” over every piece and every designer. Not to mention the crowd, there were standing ovations, screams so loud our ears hurt, and clapping so hard their hands were sore.
Saturday morning brunch at Epping Forest Yacht Club was darling. The featured bridal designers were Heidi Elnora and Leona Bridesmaid. Their feminine and delicate designs were spot on and the wedding world loved every piece.
The entire production behind JFW was a success. The team worked so hard. The founders Tiffany Hager and Cristina Farrell could not of pulled together a more amazing week. I stand proud to represent these ladies and the commendable hard work and sweat they poured into this production.
From the styling of every look down the runway, to the professional staff at each event, with the amazing event decor and design at every venue,  to the dedicated leadership of each role of each woman on the JFW team, I applaud you for all your success and hard work. Jacksonville, FL is now on the map! Jacksonville has been a styled city for years and JFW is now here to represent every stylish woman in the city.  JFW I can not wait to be apart of your third year! Cheers.
