Lip those things with this

Its officialy winter. And my lips and skin have been dry.
Time to slather on balm, chapstick, lipstuff, anything.
Here are a couple tips to keep em’ moist:
Here are my favorite products:
Rosebud lipbalm, Shea Butter Lipbalm,
Avene Lip Balm, Vaseline, Carmex, Blistex
Do’s:
— Emollient balm or ointment.
These kinds of products keep your lips moist and seal in hydration.
You want to create a barrier that keeps out germs and heals the cracks and splits.
Look for ingredients like:
petrolatum castor seed oil, shea butter, sunflower seed oil,
squalane, hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA, and glycerin.

–SPF
Your lips are the thinnest part of your skin;
and when UV rays get too near, you can be assured of damage, breakeage, roughness.
— Multiple Use
At the first sign of cracking or chapping, add moisture.
Early prevention can also help prevent dryness, especially in the cooler winter months
— before you go to bed
Most people sleep with their mouths open, can cause to dry out your lips as well.
— Drink Water
If your body is dehydrated, one of the first signs will be in peeling, chapped lips.
Don’ts:
–Lick your lips
It dries, it dehydrates your lips even more, making them even drier than they were in the first place.
— Peel, scrub, or bite
It can make them even more irritated and painful, when all they really need to do is heal. Such irritation can also trigger cold sores and bacterial infections, which are nobody’s favorite.
— Avoid products that cause even more chapping.
These include eucalyptus, menthol, and camphor. So as much as you love those magical minty balms, try to steer clear. These ingredients can also cause that mythical “addiction,” by drying your lips out more than they were when you first put it on and making you feel like you need to keep reapplying.

I love the Blue Blistex in the winter months. I don’t know what I would do without it. It also works great if you feel like your getting a possible coldsore just stick a little more in the corners and they seem to stay clear. I notice your moving up to Toronto…that’s a big change! You’ll only be an hour from my home town. I’m always so surprised when I go home how different Canadian girls are from Americans, just style and personality. Very very European, especially Toronto. You will love it though. Chinatown has lots of cute shoe shops and Queen Street has amazing boutiques. Best of Luck. PS. I have been following your blog for about 6 months now and I just love it!

You should definitely try Nivea Kiss of Moisture Lip Care. It’s only $2.99 and feels so silky and smooth on your lips.
