Closing Time

Friday at 11am, My fiancé and I will be closing on our first home, EVER! We both know that right now is the time to buy, so WE DID!

We snatched up a beautiful townhome in perfect condition right in the center of town. We paid for location location location, which will be our fall back for resale! We are less than a mile away from The St. Johns Town Center the ultimate shopping experience in Jacksonville… that was a JOKE, Jacksonville is NOT the shopping city it should be for all the money here! BUT at least there is a Louis Vuitton their!

I love the new townhome, I know it is a starter home and it is just a townhome, but I am proud of the deal that we made and the investment that we are making in our future! We got our final appraisal back and well… THE APPRASIAL WAS $34,000 MORE THAN THE PRICE WE CONTRACTED!! NOW, that is FABULOUS!!!

In this market… that is unheard of! My dad is the owner of a building company here in Jacksonville, Cornerstone Homes, and he can not believe that that actually happened to us! All he keeps saying is you are so lucky. As a builder he has some homes that have not been sold yet since the downline of the economy and he has had appraisals come in the past 6 months that have been lower the price he has them listed on the market for. It is a sad thing, and that is why America is so upside down on their homes with short sales and foreclosures, I pray for you all out there! Please make it!
