I am so excited to share with you all my two minute ponytail hair tutorial. This has been my most requested topic for the past 3 months. I finally had some extra time last week and I was able to make a video and break down all the products I use on my hair every week and specifically for my ponytail and after gym refresh hair!

First off I want to share a couple of my favorite products that I use on my hair daily that make a huge difference in my hair quality that I buy on repeat over and over at Nordstrom. I have been using the DryBar Buttercup Blow dryer for the past 6 months and I am addicted to it. It has made a huge difference in my blow out which is the best base to any hair style.

My top two favorite hair brands lately are Oribe and Living Proof and I love that they are both carried at Nordstrom. Fast and quick shipping, with easy returns if you don’t like the product! I use the Oribe Gold Lust collection shampoo and conditioner when I am at home and I use the Living Proof Restore collection shampoo and conditioner when I travel. Both of these lines have so many amazing products that I can not go with out as well.

I swear by the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo and it is my saving grace after the gym and I also love their Restore Instant Protection heat protectant spray. I use both of these every day. I use the the Instant Protection every time I get ready to style my hair before I ever curl it.

Oribe is my kryptonite. The best product they make hands down is their Swept Up Volume Powder. This is the secret ingredient gals, this is the volume god! Watch the video to see how I use it! Their Soft Dry Conditioner is another one of my must have hair products. Sometimes I spray it all over my hair after I wash my face for bed and brush it in, it makes your hair smell so good when you sleep then I spray it again when I first wake up and brush my hair! But I use this after I spray dry shampoo my hair after the gym and brush it through. I also love love their Dry Texturizing Spray so much, it is the best one ever made. I have used so many other brands but come back to their dry texture spray every time. I have it in the full size (you will in the video) and the travel size, it goes with me everywhere!

My favorite hairspray is the Moroccan Oil Medium hold. It is easily brushable at the end of the day but holds all your curl and fly aways back just perfectly!

Hi, I enjoyed this video and I do wear my hair up in a pony more often than not, for work and well, the Florida weather!

I do have a question and was wondering what hairbrush do you recommend for daily brushing? My hairdresser has told me I have fine hair, but I have a lot of it, it’s naturally wavy and right below shoulder length. I’ve used a wide tooth comb only on my hair for years. My hairdresser looked shocked when I told her I never brush and she said I really should. (Not sure what she meant by that but she’s super sweet and I trust her judgement.) I’ve been looking at Mason Pearson brushes, and though they seem pricey to me for a brush, the reviews from people almost have me ready to buy one. Just wanted your insight. Thank you!!

      Hey Belinda,
So glad you loved the video! I have never used a Mason Pearson brush but have heard a lot about them as well. I personally use a “wet brush” it has the same bristle structure as the brush you mentioned but a lot less. You could pick up a wet brush see how you like it then move up! Hope that helps!
