Luxury Designer Review | YSL Espadrille and Saint Laurent Noe Rive Gauche Linen Tote

Today I wanted to try something new, I have never really done a bog post about my designer items much less review them and share the details of what I love most about them. I wanted to break down the cost per wear a little and why I invest in such items and why they are great purchases. You all know I love my fast and affordable fashion, but you also recognize how much I love and collect designer shoes and handbags. I really love the perfect blend of high-low fashion.

My most coveted items this year have been my YSL Logo Espadrilles and my Saint Laurent Noe Rive Gauche Linen Tote, both purchased from Nordstrom.

YSL Logo Espadrilles

I love love love, seriously love, espadrilles. If you have followed me for any period of time I believe you know this to be true about me as well. From my go-to Soludos Wedge Espadrilles to my Chanel Cap Toe Espadrilles (that look exactly like these Tory Burch ones)  to my Steve Madden Ankle Flat Espadrilles to now my most coveted YSL Logo Espadrilles.

I thought really hard on what designer and color of flat espadrille style I wanted to invest in this year because my beloved two-tone ones were getting over worn and I knew it was time to split my time wearing them with another style. I first laid my eyes on the YSL Logo Espadrilles in the metallic colors, which I love but didn’t think it would be the best choice for me. It wasn’t till I found the nude rose shade that I knew this would be the pair I had to have. This color is almost skin tone as you can see in my photos, which is what I love most about it. They literally match every single thing, unlike my cap-toe ones I feel I could only wear with black due to the two tone.

Comfort: the BEST thing about them. I could walk HOURS in these things, the inside is fully leather, which is the KEY to finding the best espadrilles to walk in. Some styles of espadrilles actually have the jute on the inside of the shoe– that is a NO go for me. The all leather is way to go, and worth every penny. I have worn them for hours walking around Disney World since I got them and have worn them for hours walking while traveling. I can’t wait to wear them all spring/summer on our big European trip for 3 weeks. I just know they keep my feet cool and comfortable but also supportive all day long, not to mention stylish and cute!

Fit: I wear a size 9 in most all shoes. I ordered a size 39.5EU which is a 9.5 USA. So I ordered one .5 size up, they fit perfect. The leather always breaks in and stretches a bit for the perfect fit.

Saint Laurent Noe Rive Gauche Linen Tote –The size, the material, so many amazing things about this. The fabric is coated with a protective layer, I took this bag on our recent beach trip to Cartagena and it withheld everything! It has 3 snap closures and an inside zipper pouch. The perfect carry-all bag, would also be SO cute as a diaper bag! I also love this style by Valentino that I am lusting over and this Saint Laurent Bucket Bag is also to die for in canvas. If you want the look for less I recommend this Tory Burch Coated Canvas Tote, beautiful and durable as well!

Gucci GG Marmont 2.0 Matelassé Leather Shoulder Bag

Another recent designer purchase I obtained for travel was the Gucci GG Marmont 2.0 Matelassé Leather Shoulder Bag in rose. I really wanted a smaller not so flashy crossbody bag that I felt comfortable traveling in other countries with. The great part about this bag is that the logo is smaller and only on the front side, making it easy to turn the bag around crossbody and no one noticing the flashy logo when you are in an uncomfortable situation while traveling. The size of this bag is also perfect for traveling, it can easily fit my iPhone Max, compact powder, lipgloss, my card wallet, passport, sunglasses, hair ties, backup battery charger, and a few other things. It is small in size but can fit so much of the everyday essentials when traveling. I actually stuck this Gucci GG bag into my Saint Laurent Noe Rive Gauche Linen Tote on our last trip for the airplane.  If you are looking for a new crossbody to invest in I really recommend the Gucci GG Marmont 2.0 Matelassé Leather Shoulder  because it is less than $1,000 and the versatility is out of this world, carry it as a clutch  by tucking the strap in the bag, and also over the shoulder instead of crossbody as you have seen me do in many photos.

Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.
