DIY Wall and Dining Room Complete
Here is the UGLY as can be room right now. I did not move a thing to take this photo. Honestly.
Before:
You can see all the light coming in through the window in the photo and shadowing the carpet.
Well, I went with big wide stripes, and I just love it.
I was not sure on how permanent I wanted the stripes to be…
SO I USED CONTACT PAPER!!!!
Yes, you read contact paper. I used the same width of the contact paper too, even easier!
Just put it in a straight line and measured the width of the white wall between to be even, and bahbam, a nice wide striped was placed on with contact paper!
Here is the product that I used. It was self stick paper from Home Depot.
The color was called Almond and cost $6 a roll.
I used a roll and a half per stripe. So 5 rolls. So cheap!
Here is my photo where I tapped the contact paper on the wall.
I did not cut the paper to any specific width, I just unrolled it and taped it up.
So easy!
It just makes me smile when I walk in our front door and see that gorgeous elegant room
just staring right back at me. Ah, What a beauty she is.
After:
Do you love it?
I think it just makes the room.
Glad I went BIG.
